Just had a porker back from the butchers as ran out of time to process ourselves. Very good sausages this year.

running around the smallholding now as well.

Just butchered 3 porkine beauties with 3 new converts to home raised pork. Tiring day making sausages, Saucisse Sec and Chorizo. We are also trying a couple of air dried parma style hams.

Sadly my pumpkin 28lbs in the village pumpkin competition was dwarfed by the winner coming in at a whopping 145 lbs!!

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Dick Pearce who made our varnished boards for us.
Dick was a remarkable man who spent the last 50 years making wooden surfboards and other beach products from the Old Tannery in South Molton. He could never do enough for you and was truly one of life's Gentlemen. Our thoughts are with his wife Sue and family.

Did you see us at the Devon Show Thursday 20th May - Saturday 22nd May 2010 on our friends www.hotsmoked.co.uk stand No 19 by the Green entrance. A very hot 3 days spent cooking various goodies on the food smokers for people to try.

Our boards are now being used by the RSPCA and we are suppliers to Abbatoirs, Livestock Auctioneers HM Prisons and local breeders farmers and smallholders.
